Football’s staying home
So, the day after D-day, and here at Hitflip we’re still trying to get over the shock that England hasn’t qualified for Euro 2008. Yesterday’s 3-2 loss to Croatia makes it the first time since the 1994 World Cup that England won’t be playing in a major tournament.

As sad as we are though, poor Steve McClaren must be feeling even worse after today’s news that both him and assistant Terry Venables have been sacked.
Rather than wallow in self-pity, we believe it’s best to look on the bright side, and have a few suggestions to help you pick yourself up!
If you think you could have played better yourself, why not hone your skills and pick up a few new tricks by watching Soccer Tactics - On the Attack? Maybe if the England team had seen the DVD, they’d have fared better in yesterday’s match!
Perhaps you were shaking your fist at the screen with frustration during Wednesday’s game, as McClaren stood back to let England crash and burn, and you’d like to take control, at least virtually, by playing International Soccer Superstar Pro.
Or maybe you prefer to relive happier times, like the legendary 1966 World Cup final, when England beat Germany 4-2 to become World Champions, 2001’s stunning 5-1 defeat of Germany, or for something a bit more recent, proving that England still has some hope, take a look at the Euro 2004 Official Review DVD, where we at least made it to the quarter finals!
