How To: Become a Top Member
Maybe you already noticed our Top Members page. It comprises several lists with members that have contributed to Hitflip in different ways. From your start page simply click on ‘Top-Members‘ in your top navigation.
Here you find 11 top lists. You have the chance to get onto any of these lists. We will introduce each list and tell you what you can do in order to become a Top-Hitflip member:
1.) The most requests
This top list shows the top 20 Hitflip users who have requested the most items. It’s obvious, if you want to become a top community member in this category you should request more items. In order to find all the items you are interested in, check out our ‘How to find your favourite items‘ page. You should make sure that you have enough flips and credit in order to receive all the items you requested.
As you can see, in order to get to number 1 you have to request more than 228 items. Since the lists feature the 20 top members in the specific categories you only have to request 65 items in order to be on the most requests list.
2.) The most items listed in the library
Here you find the members with the most items for swapping in their library. Thus not all items are counted but only the ones you offer for swapping. In order to rank in this list, currently you have to offer at least 45 items for swapping and over 150 in order to be among the first 3.
3.) Sent the most items
There can be a huge difference between items listed and items sent. If you offer popular items you will definitely send more items compared to listing less attractive items. But don’t worry about that. Insert all your books, DVDs and CDs and you will find out what is most attractive for others.
If you send more than 56 items you have a chance to enter the list and with more than 162 items, you would be the number one. Read our ‘How to swap more effectively‘ for tips to swap more items.
4.) Received the most items
As you can see, the No. 1 member in the category ‘most received items’ has already received 127 items. In order to rank in this category you should request many items. You also should consider using the advanced search functions and top item lists in order to find items which are immediately available. 5.) Most reviews
If you enjoy writing reviews for books, CDs or DVDs then this top list might provide a challenge for you. You will need at least 124 reviews to be listed and over 1360 to become number one. This is probably the toughest list to rank in. You find information on how to write reviews on Hitflip on our ‘How to contribute to the Hitflip community‘ page.
6.) Most tags
This top list shows who added most tags to items. You can see that Julia is our tagging queen at the moment.

7.) Most friends
If you have many friends on Hitflip then there is a chance that you will rank in this section. Currently you need at least 52 in order to rank. The number one in this category has 2644 friends. 8.) Most invitations
Here you find the members that have invited the most friends. These are probably also the members that received most free flips, since we offer 3 flips for members that successfully invite friends to our community. In order to get to the top you will have to invite at least 495 friends. How? Find out by reading our ‘How to invite friends‘ page.
9.) Most uploaded pictures
Again, this is a tough one. With 2830 pictures it is a long way to go to become the number one in this category. But with over 130 pictures you will probably be listed among the top 20. Read our ‘How to contribute to the Hitflip community‘ page in order to find out how to upload pictures.
10.) Most rated pictures
Pictures do not only have to be uploaded but 3 members have to validate that the picture is the right one. You can see that Julia is among the top 3 in this category.

11.) Most pinboard entries
Well you just have to communicate a little in order to rank for this top members list. So just get started to make some friends and chat with them over your pinboard. You can even contact some members which are on the top list already. Obviously they enjoy communicating already, maybe also with you.
